If the church is open, take the opportunity to view the famous 17th Century wall-paintings.
The first 3 km of this section are along big and small roads in open countryside. It passes farm Grinda, built in the old karoliner style. The trail then continues into the Ramdal forest with varied walking in hilly terrain. You enter Nynäs nature reserve. Along the ridge you will get views over the fertile Bälinge valley.
You will reach the peak of Orrberget with splendid views over large parts of the nature reserve. After a steep descent you return to the forest terrain and soon come to a crossroad. The main trail (Section 50) towards Bråfall Sawmill and Nynäs Manor turns to the south (right) and follows the stream.
At Bråfall you can study the old sawmill. Here is a simple shelter and parking opportunity.
The other option (north, turn left) is Section 50:1 that connects to Section 54 at Lake Björken.
