Skärmskydd: Masugnssjön - N 58°49.976' E 017°09.150'

At the end of the gravelled road through the avenue is Svärta Church from the 13th century. The first confirmation in Sweden took place here in 1736.

The path continues to the old European highway (E4). You will see the main building of the former Norshammar ironworks, one of the many ironworks in Sörmland in the 17th Century, now belonging to the Svärta estate. From here, the section offers unique mining history.
Alternating between road and forest, the path reaches Ullaberg’s blast furnace. The great weirs and remains of the furnace stand out.

The path continues along a forest track to the remains of the old foundry and Masugnsjön with an overnight shelter. Continue under the motorway (tunnel provided) to the section end by lake Holmsjön.
