This section begins with a tough climb up to Tyckenhed at 113.9 metres above sea level, highest point of the Eskilstuna district. The mountain was ravaged by fire in 1947. About 2 km further on is a charcoal burner's hut with two places for bedding and a natural spring nearby. Lake Tryningen, about one km further, is a good place for rest with limited possibilities for swimming. The trail continues through varied forest terrain up to the farm Munkeboda, where farmers offer good drinking water.
At the mining pit only remains can be seen what has once been a single miners cottage. Here we have outfitted an outhouse to a small open cabin suitable for four people to sleep. Take the opportunity to become familiar with the mine. Consider the simple tools they used and the hard manual labor our ancestors had spent here.
After another hour of hiking, you will reach the lookout point above Lake Lundsjön. Below is a breathtaking pasture with beautiful junipers close to the waters of Lundsjön. Here you may spot the gray heron.
